What to have ready

• The domicile certificate itself, issued within the last six months where the institution asks for it.
• An income certificate for the current financial year if you are claiming a fee concession.
• A caste certificate plus a current non-creamy-layer certificate if you are claiming a reserved seat.
• The digital copies, not only printouts: verification desks increasingly scan the QR code.

If you studied outside the state

Schooling elsewhere does not disqualify you, but it weakens the residence trail if your address proof is thin. Attach the family's older documents for the UP address (land or house records, or utility bills spanning several years) alongside the recent ones.
